A person is considered to be completely vaccinated if they have completed at least 15 days post the second dose of the vaccine.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Suburban Diagnostics had conducted a study over the period of 2 months (June 2021 and July 2021) and found that <b>0.96 % of completely vaccinated people tested at Suburban Diagnostics had breakthrough infections.<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As a follow-up, we conducted the same study again for the month of September 2021 and found the incidence of breakthrough infections among completely vaccinated individuals had increased to <b>6.2%. 87.5% <\/b>of these cases were in people <b>above the age of 40.<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>\u00a0#unburdenhealthcare with us.<\/b><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Breakthrough infection refers to cases in which a person completely vaccinated against COVID-19 nonetheless becomes infected with the virus.
