If another family member needs to stay in the same room, it\u2019s advisable to maintain a distance of at least 1 meter between the two.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tip 2:<\/strong><br \/>\nStay away from elderly people, pregnant women, children and persons with co-morbidities within the household.Visitors should not be allowed.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tip 3:<\/strong><br \/>\nAvoid sharing household items e.g. dishes, drinking glasses, cups, eating utensils, towels, bedding, or other items with other people at home.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tip 4:<\/strong><br \/>\nWash hand thoroughly as often as possible with soap and water or with alcohol-based hand sanitizer.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tip 5:<\/strong><br \/>\nWear a surgical mask at all the time. The mask should be changed every 6-8 hours and disposedoff.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tip 6:<\/strong><br \/>\nClean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces in the quarantined person\u2019s room (e.g. bed frames, tables etc.) daily with 1%Sodium Hypochlorite Solution.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tip 7:<\/strong><br \/>\nOnly an assigned family member should be tasked with taking care of the quarantined person<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tip 8:<\/strong><br \/>\nKeep up a normal daily routine as much as possible and maintain a positive attitude.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tip 9:<\/strong><br \/>\nIf symptoms appear (cough\/fever\/difficulty in breathing), he\/she should immediately inform the nearest health centre.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tip 10:<\/strong><br \/>\nIn case the person being quarantined becomes symptomatic, all his\/her close contacts will be home quarantined (for 14 days) and followed up for an additional 14days or till the report of such case turns out negative on lab testing.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Home visit services can be availed for COVID-19\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/suburbandiagnostics.com\/test\/covid-test\">RT-PCR test<\/a>\u00a0and COVID-19 Antibody test.<\/strong><br \/>\nSource: Government of India Ministry of Health &amp; Family Welfare Directorate General of Health Services Guidelines for home quarantine<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>WHO SHOULD BE HOME QUARANTINED?
